Crafting the personal story by Stephanie Siu

Project Alpaca is back in full swing after the new year with Stephanie Siu teaching a workshop “Crafting the personal story”. She shared her most recently piece on The Independent, and introduced the mentees to elevator pitch, story arc, and worked with the mentees using simple writing exercises to get them open up and evaluate how to talk about themselves and their work to other people.

Facilitator: Stephanie Siu is a writer and freelance editor who helps storytellers of all mediums find their voice. She studied journalism at The New School and has written for The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, The Independent, and The Rumpus.
