Project Alpaca at Global Game Jam 2020!

Our Alpacees are making it happen today at the Global Game Jam: “the world's largest game jam event (game creation) taking place around the world at physical locations.” The event kicked off Friday night, and more than 700 gamers, developers, and designers are here at the NYC site in Times Square creating games and art.

The evening kicked off with a keynote address revealing the theme for all games that are being developed this weekend around the world as part of the event. Our Alpacees brainstormed different ideas for a fun, playful and subversive game that would help promote the Project Alpaca mission.

The weekend continues with our Alpacees working on the design and coding that will bring their game to life by Sunday. Resources available on site include mentoring sessions at the Global Game Jam and insightful workshops by industry experts, such as Sam Barlow, Director & Writer of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Her Story, and Telling Lies.
