New for 2026!

We’re excited to begin building Project Alpaca’s new Equitable AI Initiative, supported by a partial grant from Citizens Committee for NYC. To make Phase 1 happen, we’re raising $5,000 for specialist-led AI workshops, hands-on projects implementing AI models, and stipends for participants training to teach AI in their communities. Your gift directly helps us launch this breakthrough program this spring.

Since 2019, Project Alpaca has been transforming the lives of underserved NYC college students and grads with interests in tech — helping them break into meaningful, future-ready careers. Our essential program, a nine-month, in-person cohort with weekly workshops and dedicated 1:1 mentorship, provides the guidance, access, and support to achieve their career dreams.

Our essential program goes beyond traditional pre-career development. We combine dedicated mentorship from working tech professionals, skills workshops, mindset development, and community-impact projects grounded in product design and systems thinking. Students gain industry access, confidence, and clarity — and emerge ready to take their next step as the best versions of themselves.
